The location of the Abbey Motor Lodge is perfect, close to shopping malls, eateries, the center of Christchurch, and the Avon River. the staff was excellent, friendly, and solved any issues I had. the atmosphere was comfortable, and it was a nice touch to provide free ironing services.

Hotel provides good meals.

Heating could use improvement, found room cold and heater was ineffective . I would have preferred a bar of soap to the liquid provided.

Although an older motel, the facilities were very good, the room was clean & tidy & the staff were great. I recieved a free upgrade to a bigger room as one was vacent when I arrived that evening. This motel is good walue if you are on a budget. I would stay there again!

The staff members were all outstandingly accommodating and incredibly nice. Room was good modern with a good heating and a kitchenette area. The bathroom was large, beds were very comfy.

Parking was a very very tight squeeze - especially with a bigger vehicle. Getting in and out was not as easy as I would have liked.

A variety of breakfast options available, friendly staff, great location near the airport, and suggest visiting Mama Hooch for tea or coffee nearby.

city location at budget cost

I found great value for money at this motel. The room was cozy and comfortable, with a well-renovated bathroom. The location was convenient, with easy access to the CBD and other amenities. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our stay.
